Vocal cord scab

Yo so for a long time now i cough up theese 'scabby' pieces of 'me' i guess. And until they come out my voice goes in and out. I know theyre scabs because long time ago i hadone of the harshest colds ive ever had, really bad cough, sore throat and feverish. But of course that didnt hold me back from smoking till we dropped with my friends. Marijuana amd ciggarettes, menthol. And then during one of those sessions, still very sick, i coughed up blood. And then i was done, stopped smoking but it was too late i guess. The next day and for about7 to 10 days my voice completely gone. My throat made no sound and ithurt so i didnt push it anynore. And here we are. Since thwn i can feel the scabs in my throat, probably vocal cords, so i force my cough toget them out. Then i findout forcing the cough causes inflammation which then tightens my throat making it harder for me to cough them out. But anyways should i do something about it, if yes what? Or is it mere nuisance? I smoke marijuana, maybe 1 oz per month. I smoke menthol ciggarettes maybe 3 packs a week. I live in midwest dry cold air weather outside. Heaters w/ no humidifying. No meds.

1. Stop smoking. this will kill you, or give you throat or lung cancer.
2. You probably are giving yourself a VC hematoma, bruising your VC with all that harsh coughing. This will change the vibration of the VC until it heals, so you won't have much of a voice.
3. Those are tonsil stones, not VC scabs.
4. dryness is bad for your vocal cords.
5. stop smoking. its expensive and will kill you.
