What antibiotic is good for gingivitis?

I have gingivitis and want to treat it. What antibiotic is good for gingivitis?

Usually all that is required is professional prophylaxis and good home care by brushing and flossing.
Avoid antibiotics for gingivitis. That is subjecting your entire body to a drug when proper brushing and flossing will do the job. Sometimes, in more extreme cases, a topical antimicrobial rinse may help, something with chlorhexidine in it. But for gingivitis, you don't need something that could affect your entire body. Step up your personal hygiene first.

Gingivitis is generally not treated with gingivitis. First and foremost, you need to get to your dentist for an exam and to get your teeth cleaned. Then your home care will be key - electric toothbrush, daily flossing. Seeing the dentist will help determine the source and best plan of action for you and your particular situation.
I hope this helps.
You don’t need an antibiotic for gingivitis. Just better brushing, flossing, and adding a mouth rinse that will control bacteria like Listerine. Proper oral hygiene and care will help cure your gingivitis quickly. Talk to your dentist and the hygienist next time you have your visit. Maybe they have suggestions based on your particular needs.

Physically having the plaque and tartar removed is much more effective than any antibiotic.
