Most times you have 30 days after the initial start. Temporary fillings last best at no longer than 30 days. If it were me I would not prolong it, it may change presentation. As far as CoVid is concerned, the dental office is the cleaned place you can be. We have higher standards than most operation rooms at hospitals. Wear a mask, wash your hands. Its that simple. The mask should be clean and appropriate, like a medical mask. I understand you concerns. Its really up to you and what you feel is best. Theres a small chance of getting CoVid if you follow simple easy guidelines. And the treatment will spare you later pain and changes. But again follow your gut.

No it’s not serious but it can lead to more serious diseases not treated. And yes it will go away if you follow the proper steps. Those steps are daily brushing for as long as needed usually two times a day two minutes each. Followed by flossing. And then use a mouth rinse that will help get rid of the bacteria like a Listerine or an antiseptic mouth rinse, you can easily search YouTube for how to brush your teeth properly and that will give you some good techniques. And then avoid behaviors that will cause gingivitis like smoking chewing tobacco and other unhealthy things in your mouth. Simply do those things and gingivitis will go away quickly. not doing those things it will continue and it will get worse.

From how you described your bite, it appears you have what is known as a cross bite. What concerns me is that you state it is getting bigger. That can be a bit problematic. Simple cross bites are corrected by Orthodontic appliances. You need to see an orthodontist. I would start at your dentist to rule out any other issues that could be the cause of the cross bite. Your dentist then should be able to refer you to see any specialist needed. Please don't put it off. Changing and growing jaws at your age need to be evaluated.

How long does a bone graft last without an implant?

That's a very loaded question. There are 100 variables that will determine that. That is a question you should ask the dentist that proposed that. Most graphs will last a lifetime. But again, that all depends on the situation. The reason they propose a graft with an implant is insufficient bone. When the implant is there, you are at a better chance of losing more bone because the implant will stabilize that area. It’s just like when you see people with dentures, their mouth shrinks because they have bone loss. An implant helps support the bone and keeps it there longer. But that is just a guess from your question. Again, I highly recommend you talk with your dentist about the pros and cons of reasons.
