“What are the risks of a neck lift?”
I am a 42-year-old female. I want to have a neck lift. What are the risks of a neck lift?

The risks associated with neck lift procedures are the same as most risks associated with facial plastic surgeries. There is a risk of bleeding and infection but it is well controlled with the use of dressings and antibiotics. There is always a risk of scarring but we hid the scars in areas that are well hidden. Finally, there is a risk of nerve or muscle weakness or numbness but if your surgeon is an experienced facial plastic surgeon then that risk is very low. In general, a neck lift procedure is a low-risk procedure with very high patient satisfaction.
The risks and side effects associated with any surgery include infection, bleeding, scarring, and nerve injury, including numbness or motor nerve injury where function is impaired. That being said these risks are extremely low with NECK LIFT. If you’d like to further discuss in a virtual consultation, direct message me on Instagram @DrDaddyK
Risks of neck lift include, but not limited to: Disappointing result, need for secondary procedure to improve result, asymmetry between right and left sides, residual skin wrinkles, recurrent neck bands, residual neck fullness, visible surface contour irregularities which may or may not be positional, nerve injury with lower lip palsy, bleeding, infection, seroma (fluid collection in neck), visible scarring, injury to deeper neck structures, skin color changes in areas of the neck, and other possible risks depending on your particular presenting anatomy, how you heal, and the surgical techniques incorporated in your necklift procedure.
The risks at your age are minimal.
They are rare but include infection, bleeding and nerve injury.
Also there is always some scar but they are easily concealed
