What can I do for my child's earache?

My son is 7 years old and he has an earache. What can I do for my child's earache?

for the pain you can give him some advil/motrin or tylenol plus a heating pad on low to the ear helps - you would need to see your pediatrician to determine if he has an infection or not.
For an earache, the best treatment is to call or see your physician determine the reason for the earache.  This will determine the best course of treatment for immediate relief oral Tylenol or Ibuprofen is your best bet. Placing drops in the ear for pain relief can be a problem if your child has a ruptured eardrum so be sure to call or see your doctor before using any drops.
