“What can I take for gastritis?”
I have gastritis and want to treat it. What can I take for gastritis?

There is no simple answer to this. Firstly, gastritis usually doesn't cause symptoms. It is a diagnosis that many doctors will say you have but it doesn't mean much unless it is formally diagnosed and even then it may not the source of your symptoms. In your case, I don't know if you really have gastritis or not. Even a finding of gastritis on endoscopy may be irrelevant. Secondly, there are many causes for gastritis, so the treatment depends on the underlying cause of it. And many times, no treatment is required for just nonspecific gastritis. I would advise you to make sure that you have had a proper work up and evaluation. In my experience, gastritis is usually not the source for a patient's upper GI symptoms.
