I had a root canal 2 years ago. It hurts when I touch that tooth. What can cause root canal tooth pain when touching?

Persistent inflammation.. consult your endodontist
Inflammation of the periodontal ligament either by the bite being off, recurrent abscess or cracked root. Have it checked out
The most likely explanations are that either the tooth cracked or it got infected. You should visit your dentist and have the tooth examined and xray'd.to determine what happened.
