What causes anal bleeding?

I've been having anal bleeding with no pain and itching and bloating all the time. What causes anal bleeding?

Some common conditions are hemorrhoids, any inflammation in the rectum such as ulcerative proctitis, local trauma, or sometimes a more serious condition such as a growth in the rectum. Please get yourself checked as soon as possible.
You will need an internal exam for proper diagnosis and treatment. Please do NOT ignore these symptoms. Visit your doctors office for an exam.
Anal fissure
Hemorrhoids
Colon Cancer
Colitis
Blood can arise from the anal canal or anywhere in the rectum or colon. An anal fissure might cause bleeding but since you have no pain, a fissure is not the answer. Hemorrhoids can bleed and this is typically seen only during or after a BM, especially if the stool is hard. This is the most common explanation. Other causes require work up e.g. with a colonoscopy.
There are many causes of bleeding. Please see a Gastroenterologist or Colon and a Rectal Surgeon for an evaluation.
