What causes dry mouth?

It has been more than a year that l am facing a dry mouth problem. Firstly it occurred only during the night but later on it continues during daylight too. What is surprising is the fact that there is enough saliva at least during the day but still dry mouth occurs. It is driving me crazy. l have done blood analysis to see if there was any iron deficiency but it was okay. l had very very little iron deficiency..took some supplements (vitamin D, Zinc, Iron, etc. Dry mouth still occurs. l have read that dry mouth causes teeth decay. However, does teeth decay cause dey mouth?

I do wash my teeth but it doesn't help. I tried ACV still no use. Also, sometimes my tongue is too warm but not burning. However dry mouth is permanent. How to spot the difference between dry mouth caused by stress and dry mouth caused by other problems?

I would recommend speaking to your PCP or to an Oral Medicine specialist. Many medications can cause dry mouth. There is an autoimmune condition (Sjogren's syndrome) that can cause dry mouth. Yes, dry mouth can make decay much more likely. Sipping water frequently throughout the day may be helpful. There are rinses and sprays meant for dry mouth. Especially for overnight, Xylimelts are helpful for many people.
