This is more dependant on whether or not you received a bone graft at the time of implant surgery. If so, I'd avoid very hot and abrasive foods for the first 2 weeks....ie stock with a soft diet that is not more than lukewarm. But, if no graft was placed I tell my patients they can eat what they want as soon as 24 hours after surgery (soft cool diet until then) Hope this helps, Dr Bronk
