Unfortunately there are no exercises that can stop or reverse bunion formation in the human foot. Bunions are structural and functional deformities that develop over time. They are not caused by shoe gear. The vast majority of bunions are the result of abnormal biomechanics of the foot overall - ie: pronation (flatfootedness). No amount of exercise can change that.
Hi ! Bunion splints can be helpful to wear and balance exercises for feet and ankles. An evaluation by a podiatrist can help and referral to physical therapy to help you further with exercises.
Bunions are a structural problem primarily. Exercising to treat bunions makes little sense unless the underpinning Bioarchitecture (structure) of the front of the foot is kinesiotaped and changes made in shoe sizing, style and heel height are introduced.
Dynamic Foot Bracing (corrective foot inserts) could then be cast and dispensed.
Only then will exercises be performed to re-establish healthy biomechanics
There are no exercises or splints which will train a bunion/make a bunion go back to its original anatomic position. Orthotics may slow the progression of the bunion deformity. Surgery is the only thing that will correct a bunion.
Exercise will not improve a bunion. I recommend you schedule an appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) to discuss options
