What exercises to avoid with an inguinal hernia?

I have an inguinal hernia. What exercises to avoid with an inguinal hernia?

After about 6 weeks there are no restrictions
Adult inguinal hernias are due to a weakness of the abdominal floor. So until repair avoid activities that involve heavy lifting or straining of the abdominal muscles. This include straining with constipation so a high fiber diet and stool softeners are also recommended.
If there is pain Surgery is required. Most exercises will elicit pain.
