The patient will need eventually need a detox. The patient will have high risk of using other substances to sleep if tolerance has built. Also, it sounds that the cause of the insomnia was never addressed... Is she/him still unable to sleep?
Nothing good! Gravol is another form of Benadryl which has been shown to disrupt good sleep: decrease deep sleep and dream sleep. Studies have been done showing poorer cognition and memory loss. Many other symptoms and problems can occur. Consult with your PCP or local sleep doctor for help.
