I am a 21 year old female. I want to know what happens if scoliosis is left untreated in adults?

You can still go to a chiropractor! We can't make is straight but getting adjusted will help with pain and function of your body. Stretches will help too! It also depends on the severity and curves etc. stay healthy!
I'm sorry but a way too broad a question. In many cases, scoliosis doesn't cause any issues unless moderate to advanced. Balance in the spine is imperative in all humans, so Chiropractic is most definitely a good start.
This is different for every person. It is hard to give any honest opinion without you getting scoliosis evaluated to determine the severity. I would recommend getting x-rays as well as an evaluation so the curvature can be measured and then a more accurate treatment protocol can be given.
If severe scoliosis is left untreated, it can lead to increased pain and physical deformity. If the spine exceeds 50 degrees of curvature, this can lead to rotation of the spine causing a decrease in lung capacity and heart complications.
