Whitening gel tends to lose most of its punch after 2 hours. So, leaving it on longer should not too much. It may whiten your teeth a little more, but not appreciably more. What is more likely is that your teeth may get more sensitive, mostly to hot and cold. And your gums, at the edge may get a bit irritated. This, too, will go away. Some people, who have accommodated to bleaching over time, wear their bleach trays over night and have no issues. It depends on the person and the strength of the bleach gel.
Most likely nothing. Hydrogen peroxide gels lose their bleaching ability within about 40 minutes. Carbamoxide bleaching gels within a couple hours. Your saliva helps to protect your overexposure.
First of all, most gels lose their effectiveness after about an hour of contact so it's not worth using it longer. Second, the chemicals that make up the whitening agent break down and they're not good for you, so it's best to use it for no longer than an hour. We used to tell our patients it was okay to put in at night and sleep with the material in their trays, but we now
know that's not only not beneficial, but it's not good for you to have those materials in there after the whitening is no longer effective.
The worst thing that will happen is that the teeth can get a little sensitive. If in contact with the gums, it could cause some irritation.
It will make your teeth sensitive.

All the gels I know off will lose their efficiency so I don’t know if leaving too long is an issue except in the beginning. It might cause more sensitivity than you might otherwise encounter.
Nothing. The active ingredient is gone because all of it has finished reacting.
