Recent studies suggest there are similar outcomes with both general and regional anesthesia so the decision is up to you and your anesthesiologist.
Spinal block +/- IV sedation has the advantage of decreased risk of intra/post-operative blood clots.
Both spinal and general anesthesia are used for knee replacement, frequently with nerve blocks for post operative pain. If you have specific concerns discuss them with your anesthesia and surgical teams prior to surgery. Good luck!
