Tylenol and Motrin.
Demoral
Typically, NSAIDs such as ibuprofen lessen the inflammatory activity that worsens pain.
Morphine.
There is no "best" pain medication after surgery. Your best pain medication is dependent on what you are allergic to and whether or not a pain medication causes side effects. The most common side effects are nausea and constipation. Depending on all this, you may find acetaminophen (Tylenol) to be useful, or you may need tramadol, codeine, or hydrocodone. There are even stronger ones, depending on your need. You want to take them for the shortest amount of time possible, since addiction to pain medications can start this way.
Extra strength acetaminophen every 4-6 hours. Avoid opiates. Pain is expected; however, pain greater than 7/10 needs to be re evaluated for possible complications.
