The best treatment obviously would be the one that works. In order to determine what would be the best treatment, one needs to consider the cause, along with medications and other medical issues the patient has. Also, consider the side effects of the treatment. While there may be several options, in order to determine the best one for you, all those factors need to be considered. Talk to your doctor about the alternatives and consider risks and benefits and then choose one that is best suited. If that fails, then try the next one. I suggest starting  with the least invasive, more conservative one and moving to the more aggressive, invasive options last. One option to consider (notwithstanding the fact that you must address the cause) would be a holistic or naturopathic approach such as CBD (Cannabis-based products with or without THC, depending on the underlying cause).
