What is this odd forehead discomfort?

Since I was in my teens, I frequently get this odd recurring discomfort in my forehead. It is not easy to describe. It is not painful. It feels almost like pressure emanating from the center of my forehead. I can relieve the sensation by touching that spot or putting on a hat that covers that spot. The sensation of discomfort gets increasingly worse until I cannot physically stand to not to relieve that sensation.

Some things that can trigger this sensation:
-Looking at complex mechanical objects (imagine the engine bay in a car).
-Cluttered spaces (it will often happen looking for a tool in a cluttered tool chest)
-Laying in bed at night on my back (the sensation is that I need to cover my forehead with my pillow or lay on my side)

It doesn't cause more than a minor nuisance to me because I can relieve the sensation fairly easily, but searching online I am unable to find anything similar and I don't understand what this could be or even where to being to treat it.

This sounds like a tension headache. I would question psychological componentry as well such as anxiety or ocd which may trigger the discomfort/process.
