I will have a hemorrhoidectomy. What kind of sedation is used for hemorrhoidectomy?

There are several different types of anesthesia for hemorrhoidectomy. If it is done with sedation or under MAC, they usually use propofol.
It can be done under Saddle block or I / V Propofol and Local anesthesia
Monitored Anesthesia Care ( MAC).
