The best medications include Prilosec, Nexium, Protonix and Prevacid.
Omeprazole 20 mg 45/60 minutes before breakfast and Pepcid 20 mg at bed time Never more than 8 weeks Both are over the counter If not better in 4 weeks see a GI doctor to take a look with an endoscopy.
It depends on the cause and the acuity of the gastritis.
