Modification of diet and improving bowel habits.
Lactose-free diet, avoidance of carbonated beverages like coke, sprite, seltzer. Avoidance of chewing gum. Full GI evaluation.
You may need to discuss this with a specialist physician and go through a list of items in your diet first.
Manage constipation, avoid milk and milk products if you have lactose intolerance, eat and speak slowly do you don't swallow air
Bloating, especially after eating, is often caused by carbohydrate malabsorption. Reducing carbs in the diet usually helps. Try the low FODMAP diet. Sometimes, constipation contributes to bloating as well. There is some evidence that peppermint can help bloating too.
