This depends on the cause of the pain. All medications have some side effects and risk associated with them. Medication usually is used in conjunction with other options such as therapy, injections, and surgery if indicated.
Chronic pains is not a diagnosis. Need to determine etiology of pain and base a treatment plan based upon this
