The bone marrow results show all the Red blood and white blood cells lineage count. The progenitors cell, the stem cells are the one producing the lineage of white and red cells in the cell in our body. The count of the differentiation of those progenitor cells give you what type of cells lineage are out of control producing more than other cell type. Done to differentiate types of leukemia and other cancer cells. Thank you.
You need a reason for doing one such as a lymphoid malignancy that might have spread to the bone marrow or abnormalities in your CBC that might be explained in the bone marrow.
