I am a 23 year old female. I want to know what's the difference between mouthwash and mouth rinse?

Any fluid held passively or swished can be a mouthwash or mouthrinse. Salt water is a rinse that can be made at home. Other products like ACT have flouride in them, Listerine uses alcohol or essentail oils to have anti-bacterial effect. They are good additions to your regular brushing and flossing.
