Pathologist Questions DNA test

What samples are required for a DNA test?

I want to confirm if my daughter's DNA matches mine. If I do this with my doctor, what kind of samples will I be asked to provide?

DNA test can use cheek swag or blood tests. Thank you.
Blood, saliva and/or a buccal swab. To get that, you would open your mouth, and the doctor/nurse will scrap the inside of your cheek with a swab similar to a q-tip.
Good luck.

It's usually a buccal swab taken from inside the mouth from both subjects, father and daughter.
You can provide buccal swab or blood.
Swab inside of your mouth or blood sampling.
Cheek swab would work, but he may ask for a blood sample.
Hi,

Depending on the purpose, i.e., heritage vs paternity, etc., there are different tests in the market, such as ancestry for heritage, identigene for paternity requiring mother's DNA sample as well, buccal cheek swabs, serum hair, bone samples, etc., may be required.
