Hi, creative and somatic therapies can be incredibly effective for working with anxiety and alleviating symptoms. The length of treatment depends on your unique goals and needs. If you are in the United States then you can search for a provider who is licensed in your state. If you are within California - I have availability to accept new clients - please visit www.sylvansart.com for more information and to contact me directly.

Hi, Thank you for your question. There are many different therapies that are effective for panic attacks, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Panic reduction techniques include deep diaphragmatic breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, grounding exercises, mindfulness meditation, practicing positive mantras or positive self-talk, guided imagery and visualization, and journaling or stream of consciousness writing. I would recommend you seek services from a mental health professional to help with panic attacks. I hope this has been helpful! Best, *Jenna Torres, PsyD* LifeStance Health

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) with techniques from DBT (Dialectic Behavioral Therapy).
Rather than focus on the type of therapy that's most successful, concentrate on your willingness to receive therapy. If you feel that therapy would help you, you are more likely to receive benefits.
My advice is to call and set up inquiry appointments with several therapists whom you feel comfortable with after reading their bio. Spend time talking with them, and ask them questions about their therapeutic style and process. Once you've made all of the calls make a decision based on how you felt after meeting each therapist.

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a beneficial style of therapy for panic attacks. This is not to say it is the only effective style, but it is generally effective.

Cognitive behavioral therapy is used to treat a wide range of issues. It's often the preferred type of psychotherapy because it can quickly help ..

Yes, I use a protocol called Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to treat panic and anxiety. Panic attacks are an extreme body reaction of anxiety. It may take a few sessions to get results because of triggers that are involved with Panic. The original Panic as well as ongoing fear of having additional panic attacks can have several "layers",but the severe body response needs to be addressed in a somatic focused therapy (ART, some EMDR protocols)
