What vitamins help with depression?

I was diagnosed with depression. I want to take vitamins for it. What vitamins help with depression?

If your not taking a multivitamin then maybe start there. If you want to take individual vitamin levels you can as well. Such as vitamin D and B 12, just be care taking too much vitamin can hurt you as well. Just take what is prescribed. Then treat what’s low. Just ask your doc.

L-methyl folate 7.5-15mg daily; it was once FDA-approved as Deplin. Depends what FEATURES of depression predominate in your case. Anxiety, sleep, fatigue, motivation, appetite (up or down)....too many variables to give you the best advice. As far as a comprehensive supplement, the renowned psychiatrist I work with recommends Neurella (3-4 capsules/day) to his patients. If anxiety is a big feature, there is good research on NAC up to 1800 mg/day....but you may have trouble buying this online for much longer b/c the FDA ordered supplement sellers to stop, due to the fact that NAC was approved as an actual drug in 1963.
