What will an ER do for asthma attacks?

I am a 19 year old female. I want to know what will an ER do for asthma attacks?

The ER (or, more appropriately the ED, emergency department) will review your history of asthma, how severe it has been in the past, how often you have an asthma attack, if you are on medications and taking them, what makes you get an asthma attack, how often you have had to visit an ED within the last year. All within a short period of time. Your vital signs plus your oxygenation level, respiratory rate will be checked, followed by an examination and then treatment with nebulizer medicine, among others, to relieve the asthma attack depending on the severity.
