“When is varicocele surgery necessary?”
I was diagnosed with varicocele. When is varicocele surgery necessary?

The varicocele is an enlargement of the veins in the scrotum ( the bag of skin that holds the testicles).
They vary in size and severity. If you are asymptomatic - doesn't cause you pain they can just be monitored.
However it may cause poor development of the underlying testicle and low sperm count which may lead to infertility if it is the only testicle or is occurring in both testicles, in which case I would recommend surgery
