Depends on severity of muscle pain. Hydration is very important, getting regular lab work to determine if there are any significant abnormalities that may be leading to this including some genetic issues. Normal soreness should take one to two days depending on level of fitness. If taking longer than that could be something called DOMS.
If your muscle pain began following a new exercise routine, it is called Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS). This typically resolves after 3-4 days. A proper history of the onset of the muscle pain is required and appropriate remedy can be advised. Typically, if you have unresolved muscle pain for >7 days, you should see your doctor as soon as possible for evaluation.
Pain is the method in which your body is giving you information about an event or activity. For instance, if you have gone through a workout and you are hurting 2 hours after completion of said workout, it could be from lactic acid build up in the muscles. With that said, if you have been hurting for days, it is time to get it checked out. Good luck
Now. 15 year olds do not have muscle pain for no reason
Muscle soreness can be normal after workouts that introduce new movement, increased weight, and more challenge to the body. If pain is limiting normal, everyday activity, increases throughout the day or is worse at night, or is present following an injury then I recommend following up with a professional. As a physical therapist I can assess muscle and assist on proper evaluation and management of symptoms.
