OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions OB-GYN

Who should I go see?

I am a 46 year old female. I had a vaginal wall prolapse and cystocele in 2019. I currently have severe pain in my back and right side. Hip pain woke me up at 3:00 this morning. The pain was hurting really bad at 3:00. Is it the appendix or kidneys or vaginal prolapse? There is no burning when I urinate and no fever, but there is nausea.

Could it be that my vaginal wall prolapse and Cystole is tearing apart and falling more? I am not sure if I need a doctors’ visit or a gynecology visit. (If it’s gynecology I know it means surgery) I am not sure what’s going on.

Please see a urologist.
You will need a MRI of abdomen and pelvis to evaluate this level of pain. This could also be herniated discs or disc bulging with pinged nerves at the nerve root.
If you have SEVERE pain, then you should go to the emergency room. I doubt that the prolapse and cystocele are causing the back pain, it is possible but unlikely. I would start with your primary care physician for further studies if your pain is more chronic and does not require the emergency room.
You should make an appointment with your doctor for an examination and imaging. Your pain may be unrelated to your previous surgeries.
