Who should you not take antidepressants?

I am a 39 year old female and I have depression. I want to know who should not take antidepressants?

Antidepressants are indicated and proven to be beneficial in treating depression and anxiety. People who are allergic to these medications or have tolerability issues should not take them, but it should be evaluated carefully on an individual basis by a qualified doctor.

The only antidepressant a person should not take is one that has had significant negative effects on them. It is only by trying an antidepressant, that you can tell if it disagrees with you. Considering how worried you are, I would start you on a low dose and slowly increase it. Any significant ill effects, and I would discontinue it and try something else.
