Audiologist Questions Hearing loss

Why am I hearing less on the phone?

I am able to hear normally when talking to people but on the phone I am unable to hear especially from my left ear. Why is this happening?

I would recommend seeing an audiologist to check for wax blocking the left ear and have a complete hearing test.
If you notice a difference between the ears while on the phone, I recommend having a baseline hearing test to confirm your ears are performing the same! The phone is generally harder to hear on because of factors like cell reception, not being able to see the person’s face you are speaking to, if they are talking on their speaker phone, how noisy the surrounding environment is, etc.
