Why aren't there regulations to prevent medicine abuse?

I am a 29 year old male. I want to know why aren't there regulations to prevent medicine abuse?

This is a great question. Unfortunately, due to pharmaceutical lobbyists, it has become increasingly harder and harder for its good medical professionals to help in this arena. Too many bad doctors out there who are just pushing medicine instead of natural treatments. Once we chemically replace something in the body, the human body starts to crave it because it stops producing it on its own eventually. That's why medicine is so dangerous. We have been trying for a bit now to get people off meds and into a more natural lifestyle.
It depends on what type of medications you're referring to. Controlled medications (e.g. Xanax) are more highly regulated than regular non-controlled medications (e.g. Lisinopril)
