Why do I have so much saliva after tonsillectomy?

After tonsillectomy I have lots of saliva in my mouth. Is it normal? Should I see a doctor?

Having more saliva present after tonsillectomy does not present a problem unless you're having trouble swallowing it or you find yourself choking excessively because of it. It is much worse to have dry mouth (increased dental decay, swallowing problems, etc.), so having more saliva isn't necessarily a bad thing. I would go to the doctor if you find it problematic for yourself, but otherwise, it would not be a problem by itself.
Salivary gland issues. See an Oral doctor.
