Why do gastric bypass patients lose weight so fast?

I am a 29 year old female. I want to know why do gastric bypass patients lose weight so fast?

I do not recommend gastric bypass since it can cause many issues in the future (iron, vitamin b12 deficiency) and complicates any future abdominal surgeries. Making you feel full quicker is how it helps, and caloric restriction (1500 calories a day is a reasonable goal) and exercise will help you lose weight. Look into intermittent fasting as well.
Please research online for the answer to your question, if this was just for your own information. It is quite an elaborate discussion.
Because after the surgery, nearly the entire stomach has been bypassed, with only a small gastric remnant into which the swallowed food will enter. This gastric remnant is only about the size of a fist so it can hardly accommodate any food at all; one can only eat very little food at a time. Fewer calories ingested = weight loss.
As the stomach space gets smaller, so you don't eat as much and don't absorb as much
They can't eat much and if they do they vomit.
