Why does my back hurt when I cough?

Around 3 weeks ago, I got sick but I recovered in three days. However, I have had the flu since then. It was fine but starting yesterday, my head started to hurt and I felt really weak. My body started aching as well. At the night, I felt all those symptoms and started to feel cold too. When I woke up this morning, I was completely fine. But tonight, I felt weak again and all those symptoms came back except my lower back became more painful than the rest of the aches in my body. I felt the aching around my hips, my upper back, and my shoulder. My chest feels heavy too. I breathe just fine and I didn't have any conditions like asthma and pneumonia before. I've been taking ambroxol for my cough ever since my fever started. Today, I just switched to Robitussin? Do I just have a common cold? Is it just the ordinary flu?

I would hope when you went to see a provider that they did an influenza swab, a Covid swab, a strep throat swab, a sputum sample, bloodwork, and a urinalysis, as well as a CBC with a differential and a basic metabolic profile. That’s the bare minimum to start with. Let alone a urinalysis and a urine hCG to make sure the there are no problems with x-rays or anything else or you’re pregnant. I would go back to my provider and make sure that what needs to be tested has been tested. What needs to be done is done. And I’m more than happy to go over the results with you. Lastly, has anyone checked you for mononucleosis? That’s an easy one to diagnose. I wish you well, if you have any further questions please feel free to ask. I hope I was of service to you. And I wish you well.
