Why does my hip still hurt/ache?

Hip replaced in December 2019, tendon release, and removal of greater trochanter bursa April 2021. I still have pain along the ileac crest and to the side. It feels like the hip bone is achy and I hurt on the side, both top and bottom of the joint, in the gluteus side and thigh muscle. How long until the pain is gone?

Many factors contribute to this. Trochanteric bursitis following hip replacement can have many etiologies. First, surgeon must investigate other sources of persistent pain, and potential sources of failure. It’s hard to give you exact timeline for relief without the proper diagnosis. I wish you the best. Sorry.. not sure how helpful that was.
You want someone to look at your back.

Ask your surgeon. Pain TV hiss AC long after a hip replacement makes me wonder what exactly your diagnosis was?
