1. Do you do repeated heavy lifting? At work. Then you need to learn. From an orthopedic surgeon how to do repeated moderate to heavy lifting. But before that you need radiographs of your lower spine., Lumbar, to see if you have disc disease or arthritis. But before that you need to ask a trainer At the gym to show you how to work out properly. And not hurt yourself. Either way, you need radiographs of your lower back and a consultation with an orthopedic surgeon.
If it hurts enough, see a doctor.
Pain can come from a poor workout plan -- and therapy may help train the other muscles.
Or, pain can come from something that an xray or MRI can identify.

Typically, you have lifted too much weight too quickly. Otherwise, if that isn’t the case, you should seek Chiropractic Care as soon as possible. You may simply have Joints in your Back and Pelvis that are not moving correctly causing soft tissue strain on your Muscle, tendons, Disc’s and ligaments which will cause you pain. Remember, pain is the bodies protective mechanism, so listen to your body and get an evaluation by a Health Care provider that has a lot of experience in treating lower back pain immediately. Just because the pain is reduced or gone away, doesn’t mean that the cause of the the back pain isn’t still there. The body can become desensitized to pain, yet the problem is still there. Therefore, the next episode of back pain can be far worse and may even require Spine Surgery.
