“Why does my poop smell so bad after gallbladder removal?”
I had a gallbladder removal surgery. After the surgery I noticed that my poop smells very bad.

Bile is produced by the liver and stored in the gall bladder. So, when you eat fat, bile emulsifies fat, which is like washing grease with soap, which helps in the digestion of fat. So, when the gall bladder is gone, there's no storage of bile. Bile is still dripping down from the liver, but is not coming down to the intestine in large amounts, so stools are full of partially digested fat, which gives the bad smell.
Please change your diet. You are not digesting food the same. Recommend organic green Mediterranean diet.
Poop always smells bad, but it might have changed at least temporarily because you probably got antibiotics which change the gut flora, or there is more bile in stool since the lack of a gallbladder means that bile from the liver goes straight into the intestine rather than getting stored in the gallbladder.
