“Why is my 2 year old still not saying words?”
My 2 year old son is still mumbling and not saying words. Is this normal?

no He should be seen by your pediatrician and an ENT or a hearing evaluation as wells a speech evaluation should be done
I would recommend having a screening performed by a speech-language pathologist or contacting your state's early intervention program to have an evaluation completed. That will give you more information regarding your son's abilities.

There are many reasons for that, and you have a right to be alarmed. See a physician and get a referral or a speech language pathologist.
I strongly recommend that you take your child to a Speech Language Pathologist for evaluation. At 2 years old, children are supposed to be talking in phrases (2-word combination) and at least say 150 words.

Hello,
Does he say any words, such as "mama" or "more" or "up"? Not all sounds are developed at 2 years old, but he should have a number of words at this age. Usually, these sounds come in first: m, n, p, b, t, and d. Speaking in basic, clear sentences can help, as well as labeling things around the house as you talk about them, such as: "More juice? Juice (as you show him the juice)" or " Ball? Red ball? (hand it to him) Red ball." If you are concerned, early intervention is always best (before 3 years old). Please find a Speech language Pathologist near you by going to: https://www.asha.org/profind/ and clicking "Find an SLP".
