That depends on your provider and their pain protocol. Everyone is different with their prescriptions but it is common to give 2-3 days worth of pain medication for postoperative pain. Dr. Eastman
If you mean multiple or several medications, yes probably. It depends on your surgeon's protocol.
Most surgeons will prescribe some pain medication for control of the patient's post op pain. Starting off with a narcotic pain medication for a few days then taping down to just regular Tylenol or non-steroid anti-inflammatory medication.
Hi ! It depends on the doctor and their protocol. Studies have shown that Tylenol and Advil are sufficient. I typically prescribe 1-2 days of stronger pain medication and then advise to use over the counter.
Pain medication can be given after bunion surgery. I recommend you schedule and appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) to discuss options
Yes. You will probably have significant pain for about 1.5-2 weeks after surgery, and most of us give a narcotic pain medication for about 7-10 days after surgery
