Hello- It depends. There are two types of ear infections. One that is in front of the ear and just in the ear canal. We call this swimmer's ear. Ear drops will heal this. However, there is another, more common type of ear infection. This is an infection behind the eardrum. This can't be cured by drops because the drops can't get to it. The eardrum blocks them.
