Will hernia surgery make my stomach flatter?

I am a 38 year old male. I want to know if hernia surgery will make my stomach flatter?

If you have a bulge due to the hernia and the hernia defect is fixed, your abdominal wall will be flatter.
This is a difficult question to answer unless one can assure you indeed have a hernia. In essence, yes, it can, but this would be localized to the site if the hernia is on the abdominal wall.
If you have a large bulge in your abdomen that is getting fixed, then yes, it will flatten your belly. Otherwise, no.

If your stomach is bulging out due to a hernia in the area, then yes, fixing the hernia or the "hole" in your abdominal wall will make your abdomen flatter. To what extent it is always hard to tell, but the protrusion should go down and this is something you can discuss with your surgeon.
If your hernia was protruding, maybe a little bit. This depends if your are athletic of obese. If obese it will protrude more.
Surgery for a hernia will get rid of the bulge, but your abdomen will typically not return excatly to its appearance prior to surgery or prior to the hernia.
