Nephrologist (Kidney Specialist) Questions Dialysis

Can a body reject dialysis?

We are starting out with dialysis for my mom who is 78 years old. Are there chances that her body might reject her dialysis treatment?

Nothing like “rejection in dialysis”.
She won’t “reject” dialysis but she’s likely to feel nauseated and weak after treatments and may experience lower leg cramping. She may get used to dialysis over time but most patients find chronic dialysis to be demanding and tiring.
There is no such thing.

Yes, it is very much dependent upon her complications.
