Can I be pregnant and still have a heavy period with clots?

Bleeding in pregnancy generally is thought to be abnormal. It is by definition called a threatened abortion (miscarriage). Some women may have bleeding in the first trimester (up to 12 weeks), Heavy bleeding with clots would be of greater concern. You should consult your obstetrician. A pelvic ultrasound and a series of serum pregnancy tests will probably be done.
Yes, but you need an ultrasound and to see your OB.

Not unless you are threatening to miscarry.
