I am a 32 year old female and I have high blood pressure. Can I have general anesthesia if I have high blood pressure?

Your blood pressure must be controlled before the procedure. Your internist must evaluate you before. Take your blood pressure medication the day of surgery. Must be 130/80. But all depends on the anesthesia criteria.
The short answer is yes. Generally, it is safer for you to have your BP under control with medication prior to having a general anesthesia.
Your anesthesia provider should have many different medications to manage your BP should it become too elevated during your procedure. You should inform the anesthesia provider about all of your medications and they will inform you about which ones to take the morning of your procedure
