I am a 48 year old female and I will have a CT scan. Can I wear a bra during a CT scan?

No...it will interfere with the study...
Not typically. For a chest CT exam or for other exams, yes.
The short answer is yes, but if there's an underwire, it may create artifact and could actually INCREASE your radiation dosage as the detectors may measure greater density than what is actually there.

A bra with an underwire causes some artifact if the chest is imaged. I therefore recommend a sport bra or no bra during chest CT for optimal artifact free imaging.

Thank you for your question. It depends on the part of the body being scanned. For head and neck- yes. For chest and abdomen - no unless it is medically necessary. Extremities - it depends on the body part. I do hope this has helped in some small way.
No, preferably not because any metal clips can cause artifacts which can potentially cause some degradation of image resolution/clear visual of some anatomy.
Not if we study your chest, but yes, if we study anything else.
