Can a spinal block cause any damage?

I am a 34 year old female. I will have a spinal block. Can a spinal block cause any damage?

Any anesthetic procedure has risks. Yes, you could have complications, but the MD is prepared to deal with that.
Of course it may cause infection or never damage. Also, headache is not uncommon.
Done correctly and in a sterile manner with a very small spinal needle, there is no risk at all from a spinal anesthetic.
Theoretically, yes, but practically, no. It’s extremely rare to have any permanent or significant issues. A spinal headache is about 1/1000 chance. Honestly I’ve never seen nerve damage from a spinal. You might have a tiny bit of tenderness at the site for a day or two.
